Portrait of Chris

This was painted as part of Tom Croft's amazing scheme to have hundreds of artists paint portraits of the front-line Heroes in the NHS.  Basically he paired up painter and sitter and carried the whole project through to completion as an online exhibition and a book.  In my painting, Chris's features reflect the youth and enthusiasm of so many of our NHS heroes.  It seemed a pity to hide them behind all that bulky PPE kit so I went for a double portrait of a dedicated young doctor taken from his PHD studies to work in urgent care, masked and unmasked.
