Painted specifically for the Ruth Borchard Exhibition (rejected). Saw an image of my hung-over face in the shaving mirror one morning after a bit of a do. Struck by the haggard features and harsh bathroom light. Visions of mortality! Took a load of iphone photos by taping it to the bathroom mirror. Reversed the image and compared vigorously with what I saw that morning (and many others).
